About Me

I’m Nicholas Thrash, a passionate writer dedicated to helping others unlock their full potential through mindful productivity and personal development. With a rich background in both the medical field and technology, I bring a unique perspective to the world of self-improvement.

Self develop yourself daily. The name SD QD pays homage to the acronym Q.D. meaning daily in medicine, or in latin “quaque die”

Professional Experience

With over a decade of intensive care experience as a Registered Nurse and a Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, I have extensive experience providing high-quality medical care to critically ill patients. My journey has taken me through various inpatient settings, including heart failure, cardiovascular, burn, trauma, medical, COVID-19, and surgical ICUs. Currently, I practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Memorial Hermann Health System in the Texas Medical Center, specializing in advanced cardiopulmonary therapies and transplantation within the intensive care unit.

Personal Interests

Beyond my medical career, I am deeply passionate about technology and creativity. Whether it’s learning different programs to drive automation and the use of AI, experiencing new tech, building computers, or tinkering with my home server, I enjoy discovering innovative ways to leverage technology for productivity and as a hobby. My creative passions are vast and varied, encompassing leatherworking, digital art creation, and music. I’ve played trombone since 2005 and love discussing and exploring different artistic endeavors.

Through this blog, I aim to share insights, tips, and strategies that combine my expertise in healthcare with my enthusiasm for technology and creativity. Together, we can embark on a journey towards achieving greater productivity and personal growth.
